Hollywood star, Michael K. Williams found dead

Hollywood actor Michael Kenneth Williams is dead. He died Monday afternoon at the age of 54.

The star was discovered dead in her Brooklyn penthouse, New York police confirmed.

Investigators reportedly found drug paraphernalia (suspected heroin) near his body.

His representative, Marianna Shafran, said the family of the deceased wants privacy while they are grieving.

Williams’ performance as Montrose Freeman on HBO’s Lovecraft Country earned him a 2021 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

He appeared on When They See Us as Bobby McCray and was best known for his role as Omar Little on The Wire.

Williams was Chalky White at Boardwalk Empire for which he won a SAG Award for Best Ensemble.

Born in Flatbush, his early roles in the 1990s included Bullet and Mugshot.

HBO in a statement said they were devastated to learn of the passing of “a family member of more than 20 years.”
