‘Xena’ Star Lucy Lawless Gives Kevin Sorbo a Twitter Smackdown

Following the events of 6 January 2020, some celebrities find themselves on the wrong side of political history. Fortunately, these people usually don’t go overboard with neglect – and that includes Hercules: The legendary tours star Kevin Sorbo. Sorbo tweeted confirming right-wing conspiracy theories on Jan 6. Sorbo’s tweet went unnoticed. Of course, Lucy Lawless, the lead for Xena: Princess Warrior, she named her coworker in an uncertain position on Twitter.

Following the harrowing events in Washington, DC on Jan. 6, celebrities of all stripes have been gaining pressure. Sadly, some of these celebrities have bought into campaigns of misinterpretation and conspiracy theories that have led them to unfortunate conclusions.

Kevin Sorbo à Hercules has such a reputation. The star has been tweeting in support of both Donald Trump and the people who attacked Capitol Hill.

“We are fighting for our lives, whether you answer the call or sit back and let tyranny run unchecked,” he wrote on January 5th.

On January 6, he wrote, “[i]this is happening, ”and“[h]istory is being made. ” Things didn’t get any worse from that, as Sorbo began to say that those who organized and led the attack were “ANTIFA” workers – abbreviated as “antifascist.” and according to the FBI it was not a real organization.

“ANTIFA led the accuser into the capitol building disguised as Trump supporters,” he tweeted.

Kevin Sorbo’s Xena: Princess Warrior co-star Lucy Lawless got nothing to buy conspiracy theory. She did not waste time in writing a response to Sorbo which he replaced.

“No, Peanut. They are not Patriots. They are your flying monkeys, native terrorists, QAnon actors, ”she said write. “They are the d ** s bags that go out and make the bad claims of people like you who like to take them up as toys and let them do the worst. #keepingYourFilthyHandsclean #enabler. “

Lawless’s call out of Sorbo’s misinformation caused her name to start moving on Twitter – Xena’s tweet received almost four times as many retweets as Sorbo likes at the time of this article.

Netizens took to the back of Lucy Lawless’ s tweet, praising the Xena: Princess Warrior the actress and calls Kevin Sorbo out for his beliefs.

“Thank you for speaking up. Those people on social media are banging about what they did AND saying it was antifa. Utter nonsense, ”wrote one user.

“Xena must now be mentioned as a documentary in their presence,” said another fan.

Many others repeated her response along with gifs of Xena beating up Hercules on it Xena.

“When I found out Hercules was a Trump my childhood was broken. When I saw Xena’s response, I said, it’s no surprise that her show lasted longer, ”she dismissed a Lawless fan.
