Home improvement is one of the most popular reality show types right now. Hit displays as Property Brothers and Flip and Flop allowing people a front seat for the home buying and renovation process. One of those popular shows is an HGTV show with the title City Windy Rehab. There’s one side of the show that some fans can’t stand, though. Let’s take a closer look at the show itself, some controversies regarding the guest, and it’s the only thing that worries fans.
What is Windy City Rehab? ‘
according to HGTV, City Windy Rehab hosted by the former guest of the DIY Network show Crashers kitchen, Alison Victoria. According to HGTV, she is “a pro in transforming obscene spaces into bold designs that combine old elements with modern potential. Victoria is originally from Chicago, and the program gives her the opportunity to spruce up old homes in some of the most historic and richest neighborhoods in Chi culture.
The show is very popular, but it is not without its effects. This season in particular, Allison has had old clients reach out to her while this season ‘s show goes on. It has led to some uncomfortable moments for the guest.
Windy City Rehab controversies
The season has been very difficult for Victoria. Along with flirting with her partner, there are some legal issues she also mentioned in a recent program. People she reported having some sort of breakup when she received an unexpected text message. She was emotional and said the following:
“If you knew exactly what came into my phone … people would come out of the woodwork. I have homeowners who let me know about the media … Everything I’ve ever done, and everything I’ve ever done, is design. Honestly … I’m sorry, guys, I’m showering out … ”
She later revealed that old clients are trying to sue for the faulty construction of one of her homes. She was quick to say she is not responsible for construction.
It’s an unfortunate turn of events for the show, though it’s hard to tell how much of the struggle is legitimate and what level was made for additional drama. There is one other element of the show that has stood out to fans as well, and not positively. They have a bone to build with one of her design habits that she always and consistently does.
Why ‘Windy City Rehab’ fans are asking Allison Victoria to put down the black paint
Windy City Rehab fans took to Reddit to discuss a rather strange use in the show’s guest: Victoria’s tendency to paint a lot of things black. It is similar to its basic color for many antiques. One fan commented: “It breaks my heart that Allison Victoria continues to paint old black pieces! Stop it! Another fan criticized her choice to visit, saying she should not be allowed anywhere near such valuable items: “She should not be allowed to visit a dumpster or an old store. She destroyed timeless pieces with her silly black paint. ”
It’s not clear why painting black things, even antiques that might hurt value, is Victoria’s favorite design style, but fans have recognized her penchant for dark paint. They have noticed, and are wondering why she keeps classic antiques with an unwelcome new look. It’s a weird creative choice for such a talented designer, and fans are hoping to see the paint put down sometime soon.
