The first season of their show lasted seven events, with the weekend seeing Derrico’s family tackle life in quarantine and an intimidating ER trip for little Dawsyn. Now, fans are wondering when they can expect to see Doubling down with the Derricos Season 2.

The season 1 end of Doubling down with the Derricos aired on September 22, 2020. Since then, there has been no update from TLC as to whether the second season of the show will take place. But that’s not bad news. The network often does not show that it returns displays until shortly before they return.

While Doubling down with the Derricos not as popular as more established TLC series like Counting on no Fiance 90 Latha, he found an audience. Both the season premiere and the end-of-season of the series attracted just under 1 million viewers, according to ShowbuzzDaily.

Deon Derrico says he hopes family returns to TV ‘very soon’

Fans of the Derricos, of course, love updates about the family show. When Deon took nothing to Instagram to share a cast of two of the questions, Deonee and Daician, on December 31, 2020, several fans noted that they could not wait for new events.

“When are you back on the air?” asked a man.

Deon admitted that, as a fan, he was in the dark about his future Doubling down with the Derricos.

“Hopefully soon, but we haven’t heard anything yet,” he replied.

For now, fans can catch up on season 1 of the family reality show on the new Discovery + streaming service. Karen and Deon also share regular updates about their family on their Instagram accounts.

The Derricos wanted to share their story with the world

In an interview with CNN published in August 2020, Karen and Deon explained why they decided to let cameras into their home. They said they wanted to be an example to others who had similar issues, including multiple parenting and dealing with miscarriage.

“We’ve got a lot to deal with, we’ve gone through it and nobody had to turn,” Deon said, “There was no book to read. There was no one like us or like our situation to whom we could refer. ”

Karen also spoke about being an advocate for breast milk, which is less common among black women, according to the CDC.

“One day I was just praying and I am like‘ God, if you bless me with the baby, I want to include motherhood as far as breastfeeding and just breastfeeding. ‘coddling and holding,’ “she told CNN. “No one in my family was breastfeeding, no one is. So it was something I thought was needed as far as motherhood for me. ”
