Cobra Kai – The Youtube Red Surprise turned Netflix original series – this is the undercurrent show of the year. The series follows Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) decades after their famous fight in An Karate Kid. This time, they both get the time to focus, with their side of the story told.
As their competition expands, so does the fighting … among the students of their competitive dojos. Rotten Tomatoes is the Certified Fresh series and continues to impress critics and audiences alike season after season. However, compared to its predecessor in cinematic, the show builds on the fighting capabilities of play. So who in the team is capable of throwing down with the best of them, and who is mostly relieving the skill of karate with the help of editors and stunt doubles?
Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz) and Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso) seem to have had the least experience of karate entering ‘Cobra Kai’
Mar TheWrap notes, Maridueña plays a main character who is able to take down his enemies in the show. However, in real life, his karate experience compares to the experience of his limbs. Miguel joined the series with little knowledge of the martial arts. He said:
“Actually, I didn’t know much when it came to karate … I took a year or so of karate when I was very young. I didn’t really go into it until I won the first season of ‘Cobra Kai. ‘”

He went on to work at the show stage, but most of his training is focused on boxing and stunts; therefore, it is still more comfortable outside of karate range.
Mary Mouser explained to him SummaryTake she didn’t train as much as many of her hunters when it came to karate. However, she really enjoyed the fight and stunt training for the show.
Jacob Bertrand (Eli / Hawk) and Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene) boast some strong fighting training
Tanner Buchanan learned Taekwondo from the age of 10-12. He told The Wrap he was almost reaching a black belt, but resigned when his schedule got a little too hot. He was a few belts away from the high honor. Previously Cobra Kai rolled around, he trained Muay Thai for about eight months in Toronto, Canada.
As for Bertrand, who plays Hawk in the series, he started studying karate around the age of 8. It became a purple belt before he left the sport behind. However, he studied grappling after leaving karate, so he is very skilled in the ring.
