The Stand it is Stephen King ‘s last conflict between good and evil. Representing a good side is Stu Redman (James Marsden), who becomes the de facto leader of those who survived a plague. It follows Mother Abagail to fight against the forces of evil, led by Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgard).
“There is a big spiritual element The Stand also, ”said Marsden. “You have those characters who all have the same dream about Flagg or Mother Abagail and are pushed or led by these unprecedented forces to make choices about their lives. Abagail’s Mother is the one who really leads them down that path. I love it. He is not the hero who wants all the fame and prestige and attention. I think he’s a guy who’s just, again, trying to do the right thing. ”
