Jim and Pam scared Michael into going to the top. They quickly tried to come together to find out how to persuade him to come back.

Angela Kinsey, played by Angela Martin, spoke to Fischer about this program on the Office ladies podcast. She said writer BJ Novak spoke to the show’s creator Greg Daniels about Jim and Pam coming together in the scene. Kinsey said the creator told Novak that the characters act as divorce parents.

“I see them as a couple who had been together for a long time and had a baby together,” she said. “And that baby is Michael. And they’re not together anymore. They have moved on, but as is often the case with divorce couples who have children when there is a crisis with your child they work together to help their child. ”

Kinsey said they both have a “short hand” when it comes to Michael so they can only help him. Fischer shared her favorite things about the scene.

“What I really understood about them was that Pam and Jim weren’t laughing about this. This was not a joke for them, ”said Fischer. She also said it was not a quiet time but they showed the connection.

Everything worked out in the end. The scene showed that the characters worked well together and cared about Michael.
