The star of ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel ‘, Rachel Brosnahan comments on Susie’ s sexuality
Talking to Gold derby, Maisel Susie was questioned by the Brosnahan star.
“I mean, the show has never been treated very specifically,” she explained. “So I think for real, whatever that is for Susie for Amy [Sherman-Palladino] and Dan [Palladino] to gain experience and for Alex [Borstein] I know. Brosnahan continued:
So it’s not really something we’ve talked about or something I feel particularly deserving of an opinion on. I think all I can get off is what the show tells us about Susie. But we’ve certainly talked a lot about the relationship between Midge and Susie and how their relationship has evolved over the last two seasons.
While not something Brosnahan certainly accepts, Mrs. Maisel actors have debated their characters from the beginning.
“Alex happily took their relationship to ‘woman’ early and that feels like it would be true for me,” said Brosnahan. “But it also deepens. You know, they need each other. ”The Mrs. Maisel star believes the latest season played a key role in the relationship between Midge and Susie.
“… Before the end of Season 3, it was a difficult lesson that they learned together in different ways that they are the only person they can trust at this time, in this industry,” Brosnahan said. “They have a very close relationship, for sure.” What is a source Mrs. Maisel characters in season 4? Whatever happens, Brosnahan can’t wait.
“I look forward to seeing how their relationship continues to develop and how we learn more about Susie moving forward,” she told Gold Derby.
What does Alex Borstein have to say about her character’s love life?
Borstein spoke to the Los Angeles Times in August 2020, reflecting on her image Mrs. Maisel character, Susie Myerson.
“One thing I love about her is that she’s like this newly created, fleshy baby,” Borstein said. But the actress gets little value in recognizing Susie’s sex. She shared:
Interestingly, many people who want to find out about her sexuality are the same people who would say, ‘We don’t want her to be identified.’ I wish she had never been so lucky to have a relationship or even to study it. I wouldn’t be surprised if she never had her first kiss.
However, Borstein thinks Susie is under a lot of pressure.
“She’s in love with Midge to some degree,” he said Maisel published actor. However, Borstein believes that the character of her character is a little broader than some viewers might think: “she is also in love with Lenny because she is in love with her mind. ”
