Now that Am Mandalorian has proven that action is alive Star Wars series can go over like gangbusters, fans are desperate to see different popular characters get their own series. It is hardly an obstacle to being dead at some point.
In particular, more fans of Darth Maul, the Sith apprentice would like to cut into such a memorable figure The Phantom Menace. While a series like this is not known to be in the works, nothing feels possible since Disney’s Star Wars series is on deck.
What happened to Darth Maul?
Maul is well remembered by fans as Darth Sidious’s apprentice, better known as Emperor Palpatine. He immediately became a huge fan of Episode I, partly because of his right-wing combat moves, and in part because he looked like a demon who broke out of the sub- land.
So fans were horrified and even disappointed when Obi-Wan Kenobi gave him a slice in half after Maul ran through his master Qui-Gon with his two-blade light machine. Like Boba Fett before him, Darth Maul seemed to be a cool avenger who met his end too soon. As Darth Vader pointed out Empire strikes back, “Very easy.”
So it surprised fans that the movies only followed when they saw Darth Maul at the end of the Solo partnering with Emilia Clarke. Mar a Vanity Fair The article explained, “the camera revealed some robotic organs on its lower half. That’s because she doesn’t only know Star Wars fans, Maul has been living out a post-Ghost chapter in two Lucasfilm animated series: The Clone Wars and Rebels. ”
Just like Marvel characters, Star Wars characters have a way of not staying dead.
What do fans want from the Darth Maul series?
Discussion on Reddit about the Star Wars series doesn’t really focus on Darth Maul in the first place. It focuses specifically on Clarke ‘s character, Qi’ra.
The subject begins, “Return Solo tonight. I really liked how Emilia caught femme fatale and I want more. Such potential there. Anyone else interested in continuing her story in (a) the Crimson Dawn series on Disney +? ”
Fans are definitely interested, with one answer, “” This is a big hole in Maul’s story after Clone Wars Season 7 and pre-Rebels. I’m sure there are plans to fill it. I’d love to see what Qi’ra plays and see a little more pre-Solo Vos. ”
The irony is all that Solo: The Story of Star Wars lost money. The project was disturbing, with original directors Chris Lord and Tim Miller fired and Ron Howard in their place, and the poor construction seemed to feed on to the point that Solo was just as interesting as failure.
That said, there is still a lot of effort to follow the story, with one writing, “Honestly I think they should have stuck to the Crimson Dawn movie trilogy plan. I know Solo didn’t do it enough but the plans were made and the groundwork set up so I say just go through with it. Disney can make up the loss by selling goods in 4 minutes. “
Lucasfilm may have a villain show in the works already
Disney has made it clear that Disney + will be their main hub in the future, to the extent that they will have no less than 10 shows in development, each Rant Screen. While none of that is specifically aimed at Maul, fans are getting their wish for Solo’s follow-up through the Landr Calrissian series.
A post-credits scene in Marvel style with Boba Fett returning to Tatooine and proving his power. Then there was the title Boba Fett’s book, revealing that he was getting his own series. If one fan-favorite fan gets his own show, maybe another one can too.
