Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are famous for their large family of 19 children. And they are also renowned for their strong Christian upbringing and preservation values. While it seems that their children who have families of their own are no longer as strict as Jim Bob and Michelle, it is clear that they are still following in the footsteps of the Duggar family. And Jessa Duggar is an exception.
Jessa Duggar’s husband Ben Seewald wrote a Twitter post with strong words about genital rights. Here is what his followers had to say about him.
Jessa Duggar’s husband Ben Seewald has spoken out about Argentina legalizing abortion
Jessa and Ben usually post family content to social media. Jessa is always posting photos and videos to YouTube and Instagram showing what her three children are up to. And Ben posts lots of pictures of himself, Jessa, and what life is like in their home in Arkansas.
On December 30, 2020, Ben took over Twitter to share some political views. He posted several tweets about Argentina’s decision to ban legal action – and he’s clearly not happy about it.
“My heart is heavy for Argentina which just banned contraception,” he began. “Can we mourn the loss of thousands of innocent babies. Each of these Argentine children has the image of God and is precious in his sight. ”
He went on to say that he laments “for the lawyers” who allow “murder,” and for the “judgment and wrath” that Argentina will strike at God “for how difficult they are in shedding innocent blood. ”
Fans are extremely upset with Ben’s role
Ben’s strong career did not go well with his fans. By this time, his Twitter was flooded with admirable photos of his son, Spurgeon, and his daughter, Ivy. And many fans thought his views on abortion legislation were completely useless.
Critics of the Duggar family on Reddit also do not understand what Ben was thinking with his post.
“There are so many for people who think Ben is progressive or awakened in any way,” a Reddit write fan.
“[Ben and Jessa] have never awakened, they have not changed one piece, ”Said another. “They have just become better at hiding their offensive beliefs and allowing them to join mainstream society.”
”… Ben, people who force their wife to give birth at home even though she is almost DIED every time talking should not,” said another.
The Duggars are famous for standing for life
While there are a lot of disappointing fans and admirers in Ben’s career, his stance shouldn’t come as a big surprise. The Duggars have stated that they are strongly opposed to contraception. Jim Bob and Michelle are also against birth control in general, as Michelle noted that she believes the birth control pill was the reason she gave birth to a baby after Josh Duggar gave birth.
Back in 2015, Jessa personally shared her support for the movement for life. The Washington Post notes she posted a photo to Instagram showing her at the Arkansas March for Life. “Go to Little Rock right now for the annual March for Life! Join us at our state Capitol at 2pm, and together let us stand for the life of the child, ”she wrote.
Despite Ben’s controversial post and the backing he received because of it, we don’t expect him to dismiss it or reconsider the statement.
