‘Sex and the City’: The ‘House’ Star Who Nearly Played ‘Carrie Bradshaw’

Feis and the City it became one of HBO’s most famous shows. Viewers watched as Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) navigated her professional and personal life in New York City. Carrie’s best friends, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), and Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), were by her side every step of the way.

After six seasons, Feis and the City its last program aired in February 2004. Now that the show has been broadcasting for more than two decades, it’s hard to believe that Parker’s iconic role could go to another actor.

Sarah Jessica Parker almost stopped working on ‘Sex and the City’

Prior to playing Carrie Bradshaw, Parker gained a reputation as a film actor. She was in movies like Girls just want to have fun, Hocus Pocus, and First Ladies Club in the 1980s and 1990s. Parker also appeared on Broadway as a child. Parker starred The Indians and Annag before she was a teenager.

In her interview with Accessibility, Edelstein admitted that he was missing out Feis and the City she gave a biased view of the show. She said she had never been a fan for all six of her years.

“Yeah, I didn’t see it at all,” she said. “It was too painful.”

Edelstein went on to say that her Bravo show, A guide to divorce girls, received comparisons from Feis and the City spectators. Like Feis and the City, the series focused on her female characters. A guide to divorce girls run from 2014 to 2018.

“I like the comparisons now,” Edelstein said. “It’s a funny thing, when life comes around that way.”
