Rainn Wilson has a clever idea to bring The Office back with a concept that is sure to get fans ’attention. Wilson conveyed the idea to Steve Carell and, although Carell accepted the idea, he found one flaw with the reunion plan.

During the October 15 installment of Wilson’s IGTV series Hey There, Human, he spoke to Carell, with some of the conversation dedicated to him The Office.
Carell, best known for Michael Scott and Wilson, who played Dwight Schrute, recalled their time on the series and explained why it is still such a popular show.
“I don’t know if you feel the same way, but the people who watch the show certainly know better than we do,” Carell admitted. “We may have seen it once when we were all coming together and watching times. That was the bulk of my viewing of the show. So I don’t know all the details, and when people refer to lines and pieces … some of them don’t ring a bell at all. ”
He said, “It’s great that he kept it the way it was, because we all felt special when we did it. ”
Wilson had a new idea for the Office reunion
Wilson set the wildest idea The Office reunion through their conversation – a world in which he played Michael and Carell played Dwight.
Carell was more critical of his role in the reunion than Wilson was, believing that his former co-star would do well to play Michael but not so sure he would. Dwight can do it justice.
“I never could … I think you would make a great Michael Scott. I don’t think I could even get close to your Dwight Schrute, ”said Carell.
Wilson disagreed, however, referring to Carell’s acting chops.
Carell did not see it happen, however. “It’s a very singular thing you’ve created.” he said, saying, “It is not Schrute but Schrute. ”
Fans have been calling for a reunion of ‘The Office’ for years
Fans have been wanting a team of The Office come together for years and although they were asked about it, the Office a reunion may never happen.
The show’s co-creator and executive producer told Greg Daniels E! News it was unlikely that the team would reunite for a resume.
“Well, what do you think? What do you think of what it would be like? ‘Cause to me, if it was only half the characters and you tried to recreate the set, but only half the characters, it would be a bit sad, you know ?,’ Daniels explained.
He continued, “We had the opportunity to end it with our own conditions, and eventually we saw the future for many different people, and they all went in different directions.”
