Quincy Tyler Bernstine is an actor who is probably best known for her work Power and its spinoff Power Book II: Phantom. She stars in the show as Tameika Washington, a former prosecutor for New York’s Eastern District who now works as a defense lawyer. But long before that post, Bernstine had another popular TV show.
Quincy Tyler Bernstine started ‘Chappelle’s Show’
In the early 2000s, Bernstine appeared in a skit for the Chappelle Exhibition break up “When he keeps it true it will go wrong.” She played Brenda Johnson, a woman who gets angry after a wrong number call.
Believing that the caller was a mistress and had been sleeping with his girlfriend, Johnson reprimanded the woman and betrayed her for “being play on [her] phone. ”
The situation escalated when Johnson moved into the woman’s house and damaged his car, which happened to his brother, who was an FBI agent.
After a brief trial, she was imprisoned for her crimes. Trying to “establish his reality” behind bars, Johnson chose to fight with another prisoner. Eventually she jumped with the prisoner and two others, pointing out “another case of what could happen when it really goes wrong,” the reporter said.
Quincy Tyler Bernstine isn’t the only ‘Power’ actor to be recognized from other shows
Earlier in 2020, some viewers realized that actor Paige Hurd used to be in the early 2000s sitcom Everyone hates Chris. She was a love interest in the title character for years before moving on to other projects. Now, she’s a rising star Power Book II: Phantom as Lauren Baldwin, a friend in the class and interested in Tariq St. Patrick.
