The love, passion, and chemistry between the two main characters is the basis of the story. Both the book and the TV series have shown a lot of genre from the beginning. But it was never between Jamie and Claire.
In the pilot, Claire Balfe shared close moments with her first husband, Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies). In her account, Claire described a gender as a “bridge” that brought her and Frank back together during their second honeymoon in Inverness after being isolated from World War II.
Later in season 1, Claire finds love with Jamie and that relationship continues to grow and grow. But no matter what happens, there will always be enough sex. This shows Claire’s strong female sexuality, which is also an important part of her marriage.

Heughan has also reflected on the love scenes in interviews, and says that he and Balfe will work closely with the writer and director before they get on with it. The scenes are carefully designed and prepared, and both the lights and the costumes will always be tested.
“Yes, they are always weird,” Balfe said Strahan, Sara, and Keke. “But it’s weird, we’ve been doing it for so long now. This conversation is always like ‘Ok. So what are we going to do for this one that is different from every other one we’ve done before. ‘”
