‘NCIS’: You’re in for a Real Treat When Season 18 Returns

NCIS Season 18 may look a long way off, but it’s worth the wait. A treaty awaits you once the series returns January 19, 2021.

When the fall season woke up, we were left wondering what had happened to Fornell. He should have met Gibbs to tell him more about Merriweather, the man he believes is at the head of the opioid ring. However, Fornell did not appear for the meeting. Was Fornell abducted? Was he killed?

We’re not sure if Merriweather found Fornell and kidnapped him, but we have reason to believe he’s alive. Recent photos of the upcoming program have surfaced, with Fornell standing next to Torres.

Season 18 ‘NCIS’ is in high demand when the show returns

The next installment of NCIS there will be two programs in the background. Episodes 4 and 5 will be on the same night. That means you get two full hours of it NCIS. This is not the first time NCIS licensing broadcast of two consecutive new programs. NCIS: Los Angeles Seasons 12 Episodes 4 and 5 (titled “Cash Flow” and “Raising the Dead” respectively), also ran back.

That’s not all. The main character returns this season. It was recently announced that McGee ‘s wife, Delilah, will be appearing in episode 4, entitled “Sunburn. The last time she appeared on the series was in Season 16, Episode 14, entitled “Once Upon a Tim.”

Through this installment, McGee and Delilah are on vacation in the Bahamas. Unfortunately, their vacation turns into a mission after discovering that NCIS has a connection to the island. So much for some rest and relaxation for the couple. Rocky Carroll, who plays NCIS director Leon Vance, will direct this program.

Immediately following Program 4, there will be program 5, entitled “Snake Head.” Gibbs and Fornell get closer to capturing the end of the opioid ring. According to a CBS press release, Vance and Gibbs will call on the team to work on an issue “that has a dangerous impact.”

We do not yet know what issue they are discussing, but we believe that Fornell and Gibbs have acted in secret. And those “dangerous effects” may have something to do with McGee getting shot.

What else is going on in the ‘NCIS’ universe

A lot of action was taken as well NCIS: Los Angeles. Most of the stories have focused on Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen). In the last case or two, Deeks was under a lot of pressure because he lost his job, Kensi wants to have a baby, and they are preparing to buy a home.

Deeks was told he could not apply to FLETC (Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers) to become an agent because he was older than the applicants they would normally accept.

Fortunately, Deeks got a Christmas miracle. He received the news that an exception had been made and will be allowed to join FLETC. He can now train to become an NCIS agent (before becoming a LAPD affiliate with NCIS). His journey towards NCIS membership should be exciting.

NCIS shakes Tuesday on CBS at 8:00 pm Eastern time. NCIS: Los Angeles shakes Sunday on CBS at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
