‘LPBW’: Matt Roloff Once Left Amy Roloff Out of a Christmas Celebration Because ‘She Brings Tension’

Little People, Big World viewers know about Matt and Amy Roloff. The couple divorced after 30 years of marriage, and have now gone the different route. However, before Amy moved away from Roloff Farms, she and Matt had to figure out how to celebrate Christmas as a shared family on the same building – and it certainly wasn’t easy.

This is what happened back in 2018 when Matt was having a Christmas party with his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, and he didn’t want to invite Amy Roloff.

Amy and Matt decided to divorce in 2016, and the divorce was terribly difficult for Amy. She used to live on Roloff Farms, but after separation, everything changed for her. And this included the holiday traditions of her love as well.

Back in season 18 of Little People, Big World, Matt spoke to Caryn about their vacation plans. They invited Matt and Amy ‘s adult children along with the grandmothers – but Matt told Caryn that he was not inviting Amy and Amy’ s girlfriend, Chris Marek.

“So I didn’t invite Amy and Chris tonight because I was just thinking, ‘Well, you know, they’re having a party,’ and I thought, ‘You know, I could to be, ‘”Matt began. “It would be nice if I thought Amy could fall in and be cool and cool. But there’s still something that’s just – you know. She brings tension or something to the room. ”

Amy didn’t seem to mind staying away from the party for the holidays

Matt noted that there was still a bit of resentment surrounding Amy and Caryn at the time, as Amy was still getting used to the idea that Matt was retiring as a former manager. Roloff Farms. And it was a little uncomfortable for the kids too. Zach Roloff told the cameras that it was hard to hang around Matt and Caryn without Amy and Chris present, but he started to get around the idea.

Back on Amy’s side of the farm, it seemed like she wasn’t completely present that she didn’t attend Matt’s Christmas party. She sat by her fireplace with Chris and thought about the year – and she seemed happier than she had ever been.

“I mean, it’s been a great year,” Amy told Chris. “It’s been fun.”

“The best sport I’ve ever had in one year that I can ever remember,” said Chris.

Amy then revealed to the camera that she could picture her walking down the aisle again. “I would like to spend my life with someone,” she said. “Maybe that’s Chris. Maybe we can do that. “

Matt and Amy have been tense for many Christmases

Before Matt and Amy parted, they spent a vacation together creating celebrating winter wonders for less fortunate children in their area. They invited the kids over to Roloff Farms for gifts, snacks and Christmas treats – and it went well. But there was a ton of tension when Matt took a group photo with the kids and left Amy out of it.

“I was a little sad and upset that Matt gathered the kids around this photography thing, and he’s at the heart of it all,” Amy explained. “It would be great to see him then. I was just suddenly thinking, wow, it wouldn’t matter if I was here or not. Things would have continued. ”

Now that Amy is involved and Matt’s design has spent the rest of his life with Caryn, the two seem happier when they’re apart – even though it means free- shared days for their children. We are excited to see what happens in 2020.
