After Melissa Gilbert is cast as Laura Ingalls on Toilet on the Moor, she became very close with Michael Landon (played by her father, Charles Ingalls), his wife Lynn Noe, and his children. Gilbert spent almost every weekend with the Landons, she considered them a second family. So when it came out that Landon and Noah were separating because the Toilet a star had been in a relationship, Gilbert was “put in a very uncomfortable position.”

Gilbert was a young teenager when Landon and Noe separated. In her memory, Prairie story, actress Laura Ingalls writes it was a difficult event for her to sail.
“It was accepted that I could sell as Mike always had after he left his wife – and my mother’s friend – the kind of date his son (who had start seeing other girls), and still be his daughter’s best friends like theirs the world went down and it changed, ”she wrote.
The only instruction Gilbert received was not to talk about Landon in front of Noe and not to give up Noe (or her mother) in front of Landon.

Gilbert felt as if she were “trapped in the middle as the people around me chose sides. But she did not want to choose one person over another.
Things started to change. Landon moved out of his family home in Beverly Hills and found a house in Malibu. Forward Toilet on the Moor, he became less involved and less involved. His parts grew smaller and he led fewer events.
“He was creating a new life for himself – someone who didn’t embrace me,” Gilbert wrote. “I get it now. My family’s obedience was with Aunt Lynn and the kids, so my relationship with Mike started to spread. No explanation. No discussion. I do not admit that I feel upset, betrayed and abandoned. ”
To me, it was like death but without the sadness, because I was never able to experience that, ”Gilbert continued.
