None of these other statements can hold a candle to success Law & order: SVU. The Special Victims Unit handles sexual offenses and crimes against children, and the New York-based drama premiered in 1999 and has far outperformed the show. an original series with the twenty-second season appearing earlier this year.
Several actors have spent years on ‘Law & Order: SVU’
Like many long plays with an ensemble cast, lead actors have come and gone over the years. The series has also been the foundation for many talented actors who want to get started in the industry with a light guest look. Notably, several of the best stars in the series have been in their careers for years.
For many years, the show revolved largely around the detective work of Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay) and Elliot Stabler (played by Christopher Meloni). Support roles included medical examiner Dr. Melinda Warner (played by Tamara Tunie) and FBI psychologist Dr. George Huang (played by BD Wong) as well as other officers and lawyers working within the New York City criminal justice system.
Eventually, the Detective Stabler moved on – though returning in a spinoff for himself in the future – leaving Detective Benson at Hargitay as the longest running main character. To date, Benson has appeared in 482 programs and is widely regarded as the star of the show. Just behind her, however, is Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola. Ice-T has played the part for 459 impressive programs and remains an active member of the team.
The Ice-T part on ‘Law & Order: SVU’ lasted much longer than expected
Before it was put on SVU, A controversial rap course is Ice-T’s biggest claim to fame. He had moved to New York before those four programs ended filming, and has been playing Detective Tutuola ever since.
