Netflix is not planning another mission to Mars. Streaming service has stopped Away after one season, Deadline reports. The drama, which first aired on September 4, features Hilary Swank as Emma Green, an astronaut who leaves her family to lead a mission to the Red Planet.

Forward Instagram, Swank replied Away cancel with message to team, team and fans of the show.
“Love and hope will always be my ‘North Star.’ It was an amazing trip for my compadres, ”wrote the two-time Oscar winner. “And thank you to all the amazing fans who watched and supported our beautiful show. Wish we were showing you Mars! Until the next one. ”
When one fan commented that they were “disappointed” to hear them Away was dismissed, Swank replied, “Me too.”
Talitha Bateman, who plays Swank’s teenage daughter on the show, also responded to the words of her singer. “So thankful I got the chance to play with your daughter. You did such an amazing job, ”she wrote.
Why did Netflix cancel ‘Away’?
Netflix did not explain why it decided to pull the plug on Away. The show seemed to be in high demand with some viewers, who accepted the news that there would be no season 2 with disappointing messages on Instagram and Twitter. But it won mixed reviews from critics and got a 60% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The date noted that Netflix is “analyzing[s] viewers against cost ”when making decisions on whether to move forward with future show seasons. In a case Away the price tag for the space drama did not seem to be worth the number of viewers the show was attracting.
