In the early 2000s, Lorelai Gilmore was hailed as the perfect example of the “cool mother.” Lorelai was easy-going, understanding, and full of urgency to treat his 16-year-old daughter, Rory Gilmore, as an equal. Years later, some of the brilliance has come off Lorelai, and Gilmore’s daughters fans quickly discover that the teenager’s mother had some problems. So what was Lorelai’s worst attraction as a mother? Fans have some ideas.
Lorelai was afraid to take control of her daughter, so she took a tolerant-aggressive act instead.
Lorelai grew up in a home that looked like oppression. The Gilmores had a lot of rules and were very worried about how they looked in front of their friends. After leaving her parents’ house, Lorelai completely overcame and tried to raise Rory in complete democracy. She was afraid to fish for Rory and to push him away, so she avoided control completely. Instead, Lorelai was aggressive-aggressive with her daughter.

Lorelai’s parental style may have looked very good at first, but Rory had almost no direction. She never found someone telling her no, so she went downstairs when she happened to be back as an adult. Lorelai could have helped a ton if she had set some boundaries and called her daughter out now and again.
Lorelai was just as unstable as her own parents, she just treated him differently
Although Lorelai did not want to resemble her parents with her own child, some of their tokens seemed to have been passed on to Lorelai, however. Lorelai, unlike Emily, was just better at weaving her disciplined nature in a more plentiful way. Instead of giving Rory clear instructions, as Emily and Richard did, she stretched out her own mind and accepted that Rory would agree with him. The few times she didn’t, Lorelai had a liquid.
When Lorelai found out that Rory had applied to schools other than Harvard, she became angry. As soon as Rory got hold of Jess, she refused to believe that Rory might be after her. When Rory decided to take time off from Yale, she released him and refused to accept the decision. In a nutshell, not all events look great, but when you look at them all together, it’s pretty obvious that Lorelai was just as tough as Emily. She was also a hypocrite.
Lorelai’s worst draw in Gilmore’s daughters it may have been her property
Probably the worst attraction Lorelai had as a mother. She didn’t seem to believe that anyone could be as close to Rory as she was. In addition, she immediately became unsure of the second man seemingly growing close. She hated the idea that Rory would make a connection with the Gilmores, and couldn’t stand her relationships with Jess Mariano and, to some extent, Logan Huntzberger. Fans may argue that she was not okay with Rory dating Dean Forrester because she was heavily involved in their relationship affairs.

Not being so close to Lorelai and Rory alone was a problem. The couple had an unbroken bond, and that was a beautiful thing. What was a bit troubling was Lorelai’s need as an old Rory. Reddit users express the look of sadness on Lorelai’s face when Logan asked permission to marry Rory saying they needed to know his thoughts on the matter. But why she was so concerned about the proposal, however, there is still debate. Did she really think Logan was the wrong man? Maybe. did she hate the idea of losing her place as the most important person in Rory’s life? That seems to be the case as well.
