How Eden McCoy got the lead solo story

In an interview with Soap Opera Summary a few years ago, McCoy talked about her first story involving the romance with Oscar. The actress said the storyline came from how well she absorbed the emotional scenes when Josslyn’s brother Morgan died.

“It’s crazy to even think,” she said, adding that she learned about the upcoming story “one day while I was working on a set, and Mark Teschner [General Hospital casting director] I came down to the stage and pulled him to one side and he talked to me about hiring someone for me. It was kind of a rumor going around, but I chose not to believe it because I didn’t want to raise my hopes until I had the right experience, you know. He said to me, ‘We are looking for someone for you. ‘I was like,’ Oh, like, friend? Or, like, sweetheart? ‘He said,’ Dude, yes. We are looking for some people for you. ‘”

This was actually the first time other characters had been added. the teenage scene on the show, which has since expanded.

“I was so happy that I’ve never had anyone my age on the show, and it’s unique to be the only teenage story right now,” she said. “I’ve wanted that opportunity for so long, and it shows that they have confidence in the character.”

Of course, since then, the show has expanded the youngest group to include Trina and Cameron and they all have key stories going on together, as well as themselves.
