Dante was brought to the show as cop with the name Dominic Pirelli. The character was studying a biological father, Sonny Corinthos, who did not know he was a father at the time. It was later revealed that Olivia was the son of Sonny. In addition to the stories he introduced to his mother and father, his other story for Dante has been about his romance with Lulu Spencer, whom he later married.

The character has been befriended by Brook Lynn Ashton and Sonny’s ex-boyfriend Brenda Barrett. He has one child with Lulu, Rocco Falconeri. Rocco was carried by Britt Westbourne, who stole their embryo and made people think the baby was their own son along with Patrick Drake. Now, Dante and Lulu have not been married since he first left the city.

As for Olivia, she was introduced to the show as a cousin of Connie Falconeri aka Kate Howard. She first appeared on the show in 2008 and has been playing the character on the show ever since.

She came to town for Kate and Sonny’s wedding. Olivia was also involved with Sonny when they were all teenagers in the Brooklyn Bensonhurst area. It was soon revealed that Olivia had Dante when she was 15 and she kept the secret from herself and Sonny for years.

The two actors are connected to each other outside of the show

In a new interview with Soap Opera Summary, both LoCicero and Zamprogna talked about their characters and their relationship that goes beyond their egos on screen.

LoCicero remembered the first time she met Zamprogna. “Well, the first time I saw him, Mark Teschner [the show’s casting director] she showed me her headshot, ”she said. “And I won’t say this now because I’ve already told you this, Dom – that headshot didn’t look anything like you! But then we communicated by text and I was very pleased to see that he had a good sense of humor and was cool. Then he came [to Los Angeles] looking for a place to stay and looked up at my doorstep and we went looking for flats. You looked very young, because you had a baseball hat back – and that was in your day with a lot of gold chains, I believe. ”

Although they play mother and son on show, there is no big difference in their age in their daily lives.

“I remember meeting you and thinking,“ Wow, she’s so beautiful, ”and yeah, it’s a little on the side that isn’t so believable that I could be a son, but it didn’t matter, ”Zamprogna explained. “It felt like the friendship we had, that we quickly formed, and the connection we had, we were able to take advantage when we were on camera and make it real. ”

General Hospital weekly airs on ABC.
