Vanity Fair Robin Antin, founder / dancer of Pussycat Dolls spoke about their favorite fan Friends minutes in season 6.
Antin worked with Schwimmer and Cox for about a week in 1999 to create the legendary dance that Monica and Ross prepare for the New Year’s Eve TV special.
The dancer was told, “They must be very silly,” Antin recalled. She went into more detail about what the Friends a team was watching – and in fact, what made that scene so funny.
“… Their description for me was, ‘silly, fun, trying too hard, over the top, dancing so hard, just thinking they were the best ever,’” she explained to Vanity Fair.
The ‘Friends’ team brought some of their own moves to normal
“When I brought in my choreography and showed them what it was like, it was, ‘This is so funny. This is so good. This is exactly what we want, ‘”Antin told VF.
While Antin photographed the main moves, Cox and Schwimmer brought the characters of their characters into the scene.
She told the publication that the Friends Members of the show would decorate her dance with their “finishing touches. ”
“For example: Monica shouting the usual first behavior – ‘Five, six, seven, eight!’ – carving? ” Vanity Fair was reported. “It simply came to our notice then. ”
As she recalled Vanity Fair: “It was one of the funniest and most fun days I can think of ever in any of my experiences as a broadcaster. … It was wild. ”
