What is ‘Bridgerton’ about?

Bridgerton is a new romantic television show set in 1813 London. It is based on a series of books by Julia Quinn. The eight events follow two families in particular: the Bridgertons and the Featheringtons. At this time – the time of the Regency – girls had few ways to secure a stable future for themselves and these futures were usually married by men they did not know.

Bridgerton takes viewers on a tour of what elite families could have during this time. But in Shonda’s true fashion, he puts on a diverse and feminine lens through which he is seen.

The Bridgerton family has four sons and four daughters, and the Featherington family has three daughters. Scandal comes to London when Featherington’s cousin Marina Thompson (Ruby Barker) is secretly discovered in a newly discovered Lady Whistledown – an anonymous writer who spreads mysteries and rumors throughout the series.

This season focuses heavily on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and her warm, but rocky relationship with Simon Basset, Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page).

Since the show is based on a series of books containing eight novels, it is not entirely out of the question to think that Netflix would continue to change. Plus, this is the first show since Rhimes ’full-length deal making its way onto Netflix and the mega-talented creator at Anatomy Gray and Scandal know for sure how to make a lasting blow.

Other than that, what a presenter and creator of Bridgerton, Said Chris Van Dusen Cosmopolitan UK reveals that season two of the show is definitely something in which he is interested.

“Of course we’re just focusing on the first season right now,” Van Dusen said. “And while that focuses on Bridgebridge’s eldest daughter Daphne and her relationship with Simon, we know there are eight Bridgerton sisters. [and] there are eight Bridgerton books. So for success I would like to be able to explore love stories and romances for the Bridgerton brothers and sisters of course. ”

If the show decides to continue the series by following the books, season two could focus on Bridgerton ‘s oldest child, Anthony (Jonathan Bailey). In season one, Anthony spends much of his time trying to figure out the perfect wedding match for his sister Daphne, while balancing his secret relationship with the girl. opera singer Siena Rosso (Sabrina Bartlett).

The second book follows Anthony on his own wedding journey, which of course includes even more family drama. This story takes place in 1814 which is probably where season one is Bridgerton he decided because of contextual ads of the last scene. We had a taste of Anthony’s love life in season one, and going on his journey of finding a wife makes sense where the story might go. Additionally, the show could use Lady Whistledown’s release (for the audience, not the other characters) to advance and continue that character’s development. Gossip Girl-esque takedowns on those they deem appropriate.
