There’s a lot of sexuality in ‘Bonding’, but it’s about something else

First, a little background. Thanks to the likes of Rihanna and the Fifty shades of Gray franchise, BDSM had some pop culture revival in the 2010s. While Rihanna and EL James featured the practice as sex, there was Rightor Doyle Bonding going in a different, funnier way. It is based on an ambitious comic named Pete who becomes a supporter of a professional dominatrix named Tiff, who works under the name Mistress May. The show is about how deceptive – and humorous – relationships can be, whether sexual or otherwise. While the show has some special moments (who would forget those penguin costumes?), It’s really grounded.

“I moved to New York City and knew a girl who was secretly a dominatrix and basically needed a guardian / helper, someone to come with her,” Doyle said HollywoodLife. ”“ I think the other word would be ‘evidence,’ in many cases, because [being a domme is] it is not a safe thing to do. So I did that with her. And the show is very fictional and this kind of takes a very long turn from that experience, but the idea comes from [experiences.]”

How the display is moving

Doyle wants the show itself to be mobile. For example, the world of BDSM is often associated with risk. In contrast, Doyle decided to delight the beauty of the show, with a focus on bright colors. He wanted it to look very different from Fifty shades of gray, which has a dark and calm color palette. In addition, Doyle wanted the show to explore the world of kink rather than exploit it. Bonding may actually be rooted – but it still wants to challenge your expectations.
