‘Barefoot Contessa’ Ina Garten Recommends 1 Ingredient Rachael Ray Won’t Touch

The Contessa barefooted Ina Garten is one of the most popular stars of Food Network thanks to its practical advice and delicious recipes. However, one of her product suggestions tears the wrong author and cookbook author Rachael Ray in the wrong way.

The truth is, Ray would never eat this one brand name product that Garten wants his fans to buy.

Ina Garten maintains that ‘storebought is fine’ at all times

Contessa barefooted making her food from scratch and often using gourmet ingredients so that everything is tasty. However, she has gained a reputation for wanting “storage is okay” while offering viewers practical options for preparing fast food.

Fans love how Garten suggests some cheap and quick options like Rao’s Homemade Marinara sauce, which she says is better than homemade. And then there’s the same brand of mayonnaise she uses: Hellman’s.

It is a popular and readily available brand that home chefs should be able to find at their local grocery store. However, you will not Everyday Italian Ray’s host outshines the Hellman’s for whatever reason.

Rachael Ray despises mayonnaise, even Hellman

Garten recommends Hellman brand mayo right on her website. But Ray won’t even grab the stuff if it’s a specific brand. That’s because the author of the cookbook refuses to eat or cook with mayonnaise for any reason.

“Stable mayonnaise on a shelf eliminates me!” She told people on the set Rachael Ray Exhibition in 2019. “I make aioli myself and I love Aquafaba, because it is based on chickpea. But it’s something about knowing that mayonnaise contains eggs and has been sitting on a hot shelf for months and months. It makes me go back. ”

When it comes to despising mayo, it turns out that Ray is in good company. Many people feel that this popular feeling is getting away, although not many of them are as curious about it as it is.

She’s okay with the highly-skinned mayonnaise, but one food item that Garten refuses to rub. The most popular herb is cilantro. “I won’t go near it,” she explained to Time.

Some people have a genetic predisposition to think that cilantro tastes like soap and Garten apparently inherited that gene. So don’t expect to see any cilantro in her recipes.

Like many other Food Network stars, Contessa barefooted also disregards store-bought Parmesan cheese, which is usually wood-crushed (listed as cellulose) as a filling. Instead, she thanks herself at home and suggests that viewers do the same.
