Hollywood star and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has described President Donald Trump as the worst President in U.S. history.
Arnold said this in a video shared Sunday on his Instagram page while comparing the U.S. Capitol riot that Trump inspired, to Kristallnacht, on the night of November 1938 when Nazi thugs attacked on Jewish Germans and their possessions.
DAILY POST reminds us that Trump supporters broke into the Capitol on Wednesday and caused a stir.
The actor said that the incident at the US Capitol took place the very principles on which the country was founded.
Schwarzenegger, describing Trump as a failed leader, said he has taken solace in the fact that Trump’s presidency would soon be over and would be as inappropriate as an old tweet.
“It simply came to our notice then. Trump will go down in history as the worst president ever. The good thing is that it will soon be as irrelevant as an old tweet.
“Also for those who think they can reverse the Constitution of the United States, you know this: You will never win,” he said.
Schwarzenegger criticized the U.S. President for his several unfounded claims of election fraud, American democracy said as a weapon.
“Democracy is like the steel of this sword. The more heated it is, the stronger it becomes.
“Wednesday was Broken Glass Day here in the US. The glass was broken in the windows of the US Capitol.
“These people not only damaged the windows of the Capitol, they destroyed the ideas we were donating. They were not just breaking down the doors of the building that housed American democracy, ”he said.
According to him, Trump tried to reverse the election results and called for a coup by deceiving people with lies.
In the decision, he pledged to stand by President Biden as a defense of U.S. democracy from those at risk.
Schwarzenegger was a member of the Republican Party and was elected governor of California in 2003 to 2011.
