Seyi Shay reacts to backlash over criticism of 17-year-old Idol contestant

Big fashion entrepreneur Toyin Lawani has come under attack for her outfit to film premiere over the weekend.

Toyin posted a post on Instagram wearing racy Nun clothes but with a slit in the middle revealing her thighs.

This did not go down well with some online followers and Nigerians who tasted it for mocking Christianity.

Here are some of the comments DAILY POST collected from Twitter:

@Omini_Smoochey “As a fashionista, Toyin Lawani can go beyond her business line but she should also remember that anything we do has a positive place in this life. That was a cross in boundaries because that was a slap on Christianity. ”

@ Ehigeorge1 “What is Toyin Lawani trying to prove with this Nun Catholic costume? Without reducing words, this is so disrespectful and sad. Madness everywhere. ”

@DejiAdefehinti “Toyin Lawani’s act is completely rusty, largely believed by the Christian faith. Why use the sign of the cross to cover the grilse?

@Amamabem “One thing I really agree with about Islam is that they will not allow anyone (Christian or Muslim) to despise their religion.

Some Christians insist on blasphemy. Shame show by Toyin Lawani. Total disrespect to the Church, Christianity and the cross. ”

@AustineJohnson “If you are an active Christian, please feature Toyin Lawani in her social media platforms for mocking Christianity and its symbols. “

@Izu_Chukwu “Toyin Lawani is no longer honoring my faith in my stupid life! Can you do that with the hijab? Trash!

@Davidola “This Toyin Lawani dress is so unnecessary.”

@YetundeFolarin “If there’s no fuss about this, CAN is just a political tool.”

@SammySpotreal “Why do people criticize Toyin Lawani for being creative with her clothes. Y’all can praise celebrities from abroad for wearing sexy outfits in Christian dresses at MET GALA 2018, but y’all are here TOP ON Toyin Lawani. Y’all are a source of hypocrites.
