Famous Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has slammed Ghanaians calling artists in their country.
Some Ghanaian presenters and fans on Sunday night called their artists after Burna Boy, Wizkid grabbed their first Grammy awards.
They accused Ghanaian artists of buying mansions, traveling to other countries rather than promoting their music in the country.
This didn’t go down well with Shatta Wale who took to his Instagram page to blast the presenters and executives in the entertainment industry in Ghana.
He called on those who were disappointed about Ghanaian artists to move to Nigeria while lamenting the support given to his colleagues in Ghana
Shatta Wale said: “Many Ghanaians despise Ghanaian artists if you feel we are not singing well, leave and stay in Nigeria so they can at least sing for you. buy you a dream house
“There is no way our business can help push our artists to Grammy.
“Some ordinary people talk about artists how to support them, how we would use this idea into a Grammy.
“My buildings are Grammy because this industry doesn’t push artists but keeps criticizing them
“Fans don’t listen to these presenters, don’t let them deceive you, Stonebwoy is in America all of a sudden because the people in our industry don’t make sense.”
Shatta Wale was among the African artists featured in Beyonce’s ‘The Lion king’
