Nigerian comedian Mr Macaroni has alleged that a policeman threatened to kill him while in custody.
Mr Macaroni said this on Sunday as he reported his experiences at the police station.
According to him, one of the police officers said that he would have been killed if he had not been popular and that people would have asked about him.
He said other police were taking turns to deal with him at Adeniji police station.
On his Twitter page, he wrote: “While I was at Adeniji police station, the police officers took the opportunity to hit me. They were even shouting at themselves to come and defeat ‘Mr Macaroni’
“They said in my life the next time I hear the police, I’ll run! A man said that if people didn’t ask about me, he would kill me. ”
DAILY POST recalls that Macaroni along with 39 others were arrested sometime in February at the Lekki toll gate.
They were arrested by police sent to Lekki toll booth, ahead of the #OccupyLekkiTollGate and #DefendLagos protests filed for February 13, 2021.
