Lekki tollgate: Nigerian government making its citizens bleed – Toke Makinwa

A common media personality, Toke Makinwa, has been criticized by Nigerian police arresting Mr Macaroni and other End SARS militants on Saturday at the Lekki tax gate.

Macaroni was arrested along with some protesters at the Lekki toll gate on Saturday morning.

Makinwa, in response, accused the Nigerian government of always looking for how to make citizens.

The fashion enthusiast wanted Nigerian Police to arrest peaceful activists who voted Lagos State Governor Babajide-Sanwo-Olu in office.

On her Twitter page, Makinwa wrote: “A government is constantly on the lookout for its citizens to erode, mismanage, police brutality, poverty, hate, lack of jobs, a failed education system, and the endless list, what is our crime? #EndSARS #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria #Lekkitollgate. ”

“Nigeria can really test you, Lagos state government you need the youngster, it is a low blow @jidesanwoolu police who arrested peace activists you voted into the office, our fundamental right to peacefully protest is an abuse of #EndSARS #Lekkitollgat. ”
