Lekki shooting: The dead will disturb you – Burna Boy tells Buhari, Sanwo-Olu, Army in new song

The new song Burna Boy on Lekki’s shot was sung “20:10:20”.

The track condemned the armed attack on End SARS fighters at the Lekki toll gate.

Renowned for human rights abuses, the Special Anti-Theft Squad (SARS) terrorized several Nigerians.

Many were killed or wounded in public or in polluted cells by the staff of the prestigious unit.

For more than a decade, demonstrators in Lagos – where the clashes began on October 8 – and as a nationwide insurgent called for an end to police brutality.

On the night of Tuesday, October 20, 2020, Army soldiers marched to the Lekki rally field and opened fire on unarmed civilians with national flags on them.

The incident sparked global criticism and calls for prosecution from those responsible.

Burna Boy told President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and the Nigerian Army that the dead would be blamed for all “crimes”.

The music star also mentioned anonymous “godfather” and “gbo gbo ijoba”, a factual reference to the Federal Government and the Lagos State authorities.

Burna Boy, real name Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, accused the government of turning graduates into beginners and killing them for justice.

“You carry a weapon killing a lot of youngsters for Lekki, so running water ooo my eyes. Nothing you say justifies the case of their murder ”, read the words.

“The chief of staff, the commander and the army is carrying out an order; Mr. President, Mr. Governor, father-father, gbo gbo ijoba, all your temptations, your corner-corner, make the dead body disturb you for your dream. ”

Burna Boy revealed that the outcome of the song will be used to support the families of victims and victims of grief caused by Lekki ‘s shooting.

“May the heavens open and celebrate our fallen heroes who died for this movement from the very beginning. Stay in peace with all the lost lives, ”he said.
