Grammy-winning electronic music duo Daft Punk has announced their separation after 28 years.
The two Frenchmen in helmets, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, announced their break-up in an eight-minute video, called Epilogue.
Both had four albums and six Grammy Awards.
Kathryn Frazier, the band’s longtime journalist, confirmed the split.
The breakup comes eight years after Daft Punk was created in 1993 by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter.
The group released their latest album Random Access Memories, titled ‘Get Lucky’, which brought up world records around the world.
Daft Punk was made up of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.
