End SARS: Tuface reacts after being dragged to court over protests

Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, known as 2baba, has dealt with the criminal complaint leveled against him and 49 others for supporting EndSARS protests.

DAILY POST reported earlier that a activist named Kenechukwu Okeke wore a criminal suit against Aisha Yesufu, Deji Adeyanju, Folarin Falana known as Falz, Yemi Alade, Idibia among others before High Federal Capital court in Abuja, FCT over #EndSARS protests.

According to him, the protesters between 28 October and 30 October 2020 the defenders used their twitter accounts to co-force among themselves to “commit misconduct, to inciting or acting in such a manner with the intention of aiding and abetting the promotion of an illegal assembly under the guise of making #EndSARS ”.

Okeke stated that the offense was punishable under Section 97 (2) of the Penal Code Act, C53 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

Responding, Tuface in a statement by his manager Efe Omorogbe, described the suit as a direct move on social media.

“It simply came to our notice then. We were not given any paperwork. We didn’t receive any formal calls. ”

He said they cannot respond to the allegation until they receive a call.

“We can’t respond to what’s just moving on social media until we get a call that we can’t respond to,” he said.
