Patrick of the opposition group, ‘P-square’ has joined many Nigerians in refusing permission to reopen the Lekki Tax Gate.
The Lagos State Judicial Panel, which investigated the killing of #EndSARS militants by soldiers at the Lekki tax gate on October 20, had granted permission to reopen the tax bloc, and regained control of Lekki tax gate plate to its owners, the Lekki Discounted Company (LCC).
The chair of the panel, Justice Doris Okuwobi, delivered the ruling on Saturday.
However, youth representatives kicked against the decision, describing it as an act to obstruct justice.
They decided that the Lekki toll gate should be closed until the judging panel ends.
Peter Okoye, in response, began kicking against the ruling, saying the tax gate would not be opened until justice was served.
The singer posted this on his Twitter page.
Read his tweet: “If una is like una passing Lekki tollgate to Jesus (If you want a handcuffed gate to Jesus) There is no justice, NO LCC.
“Stop SARS, There will be no more gates.
“Don’t think! We will never forget what happens at that Tollgate on 20 October 2020. ”
