End SARS: Davido ‘reveals those who attacked Edo prison, freed inmates’

Nigerian Afro-beat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has said criminals are responsible for the attack on two Correctional Centers in Benin City, Edo State.

Davido made the claim while resolving End SARS fighters to be involved in the attacks.

The singer said too much malice would not stop the protest against police brutality and maladministration.

Davido made the statement while criticizing the attack on two Correctional Centers in Benin City, Edo State.

The hoodlums had raided the facilities and freed some prisoners.

Responding, the singer wrote in a series of tweets: “Having seen everything that is going on today I just want to say from the beginning that we have preached that the complaint must remain. peaceful and law-abiding and as far as I know we have adhered to that! And we will continue to stick to that so that the statement is not turned on us!

“The people they say broke into prisons to free convicted criminals, set fire to police stations to steal weapons, damage the police, the government, and the criminals’ private vehicles and must everyone condemned these acts. They are not part of our movement!

“#EndSars is a peaceful, law-abiding complaint that goes somewhere great! And no bad news can spread! ”
