The Recording Academy, organizer of the Grammy awards ceremony, has rescheduled the deadline for the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards held on March 14th.
The show was reorganized due to concerns about the release of COVID-19.
Organizers said on his Instagram page @recordingacademy, the event will now take place on March 14, 2021.
Recording Academy confirmed that those in the health and safety of the music industry were very concerned, hence the reorganized date.
The message reads: “Following thoughtful discussions with health experts, our guest and upcoming artists, we are reorganizing the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards to be broadcast on Sunday, 14 March 2021.
“The deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services gaining the upper hand, ICUs have reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all decided that it is cancel our show the right thing to do. ”
He therefore thanked the artists, staff, vendors and nominees for their understanding and patience.
