In July 2019, Williams announced that she is working on a biopic with Lifetime. The biopic captures many moments within Williams ’life as she became famous for her radio and television career. Williams is ready to complete the project, and she and Hunter were business partners until the end of their divorce in January 2020.

A brief look inside Wendy Williams’ marriage to Kevin Hunter, Sr.

Williams and Hunter’s love affair came years before she began hosting Wendy Williams Exhibition. After marrying for the first time in 1994, Williams was looking for love again in the 1990s after his divorce. The guest met a talk show with Hunter at an ice skating rink, and the pair started to fall back. They married in 1997 and had a son, Kevin Hunter, Jr., several years later.

Shortly after the news of Williams’ divorce broke down, Hunter released a statement about their relationship. according to Entertainment tonight, Hunter took responsibility for deceiving Williams and shared that he still loves and respects her “unconditionally.”

“Twenty-eight years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn’t realize that she would not only be my wife but that she would change against entertainment and the world, ”said Hunter. “I have devoted most of our lives to the business empire known as Wendy Williams Hunter, a man I hold in high esteem and unconditionally. I am not proud of what I have done recently and I take full responsibility and apologize for my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and I am trying to put things right. ”
