At one point, Emilio Estevez and Demi Moore seemed like the perfect pair. Although Moore has described his girlfriend as his “first true love,” Estevez has openly stated that he was “in deep love” with Moore. So what made the actors break their bond?
Demi Moore says she got involved with Emilio Estevez after just six months
After just six months of back pain, Estevez got down on one knee and praised. The two met while filming Fire of St. Elmo and has had a deep connection ever since. In Moore’s recently published memoir, she says that Estevez was extremely kind and calm. It even helped the actress with her journey towards sobriety.
“Emilio and I started to get bad after I got sick,” she writes. “We were together for six months, and then we got involved, and I moved in with him in a condo in Malibu. He was very sweet, very attentive, and looking back, I think the main reason for how soon we moved was that I was choking a family, and he had a close relationship with it. ”
Emilio Estevez was impatient with Demi Moore
As soon as Moore found out about Estevez’s lies and infidelity, she called a physician for help. And as Moore reveals the memories, her doctor warned her not to marry The Breakfast Club actor.
“Normally, I prefer a patient to come to terms on her own,” said the therapist. “But I don’t have time to let that happen, so I have to tell you: If you marry it as it is now, you are going to ruin your life. ”
After the session, her therapist wanted to meet with Estevez so they could all speak out. Unfortunately, the actress signed up for her treatment session, and Moore found out how low she was on her boyfriend’s priority list.
Moore said, “It was very challenging, but he finally made the trip. And when he revealed his priorities in that session – you would be surprised to hear – I was very low on the list. I postponed the wedding. ”
And although Moore broke the promise, the two remained very close friends after their separation. They kept going to events like each other’s dates, despite just going as friends. And years later, Emilio Estevez would throw his girlfriend in his 2006 film, Bobby.
