After more than a decade in the field, Selena Gomez found out what she likes and dislikes about the show business. In an interview in January 2021, she opened up about a quality she sees as ‘unattractive.’ Gomez also mentioned another musician she “fell in love with” – but not as you think.
Selena Gomez started in early entertainment
Gomez broke out as the star of the Disney Channel sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place in 2007. In addition to her TV reputation, she soon became an internationally acclaimed pop star. Gomez recorded records with her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, before breaking out as a solo artist.
Over the years, the entertainment has continued, appearing in films such as Care Needs and The dead will not die. However, many still consider her to be a musician in the first place. In 2020, Gomez released her first album in five years, Very rarely. A year later, she released her first single in Spanish, “De Una Vez. ”
She has dated musicians
Since she began as a teenager, Gomez’s love life has received almost as much attention as her art. In 2008, she teamed up with Disney Channel artist Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers. In 2017, she dated The Weeknd singer. They went to Gala Gala as a couple and moved in together for a short time.
But the longest and most talked about relationship Gomez has is her relationship again, rather than again with Justin Bieber. The pair made their first public appearance together in 2011. After breaking up in 2012, rumors of a rivalry (backed by paparazzi photos) followed them through 2018, when Bieber tied the knot with Hailey Bieber.
Gomez says this is ‘unattractive’
In January 2021, Gomez opened up about a quality she doesn’t like. “That’s probably the most appealing thing to me, a little bit of ego,” she told Zane Lowe for Apple Music. However, she was not talking about what she was looking for in a partner, necessarily. Her idea came as she talked about herself and her music.
Although the singer says that confidence and pride in her work is important, she does not believe that ego is necessary. “I think that’s what has helped me stay up wherever I am,” Gomez said. “Because I take my time, I’m deliberate, and I try to be as efficient as possible. And I try to make sense of everything I sing, say, or perform. ”
She fell in love with another major artist
In terms of romance, Gomez doesn’t talk about that part of her life. But she mentioned another kind of love for a Spanish co-singer. “I immediately fell in love with J Balvin,” Gomez said. She quickly explained, “His music, obviously. I don’t know him, so I didn’t fall in love with him. But I fell in love with his music. ”
Gomez also mentioned her co-writer “De Una Vez”, Tainy. “It’s been so good,” she said. “He’s an expert.” From the famous producer, she says that she learned to “listen to the rhythm. “It really does just what it loves – there’s no ego attached to it,” said Gomez, bringing the conversation back to an earlier time. “I think that’s why he’s so talented. ”
