Wendy Williams Says She Was ‘Date Raped’ by an R&B Star in the ’80s

Known as the shocking jockette, Williams made a name for herself in radio, pouring the tea on famous celebrities who won her a fan base and a ton of enemies. In the past few years, the New Jersey-born media personality has expanded its brand into a nationally syndicated talk show, Wendy Williams Exhibition.

However, as she continued with her Hot Topics and celebrity guests, William’s personal life began to take shape with his controversial divorce spread across front page news.

Now, Williams speaks her own reality with her Lifetime biopic Wendy Williams: For Film star The Oval Ciera Payton. Although the film isn’t ready to go live until January 30. It’s already picking up a ton of excitement.

Wendy Williams said she was raped by R&B star Sherrick

In the film, Williams reveals that he was raped by an R&B singer after agreeing to go to a record premiere party with him. Although he got a pseudonym in the film, the show’s guest revealed the speech of his real name at a press conference.

“It simply came to our notice then [real] his name is Sherrick, ”Williams published. “He was an R&B singer from the eighties, and he had a song called ‘Just Call.’ He was tall, like six feet, five. and date I was raped. He came to DC, and surprised me with his twinkling eyes. He took the interview around to where he was interviewing me. I just gaga all over this guy, and he asked me to go to a record-breaking party with him that night. Before the party, I was forced to. After that, I found out he had spent time in jail. I was also forced to date a date in college. These things happen to girls all the time. ”

Sherrick’s widow has responded to Wendy Williams’ rape allegations

Following Williams’ allegations about the “Just Call” singer who died in 1999, his widow, Lynne Conner Smith, has come forward to respond. “Sherrick was a handsome man, a genius with an angelic voice,” said Smith Page six. “We have three amazing children. This is very painful not only for us but for his brothers. ”

In a separate statement, the family of the late singer told Page Six,

The man known as ‘Sherrick’ died 21 years ago. His family loved and respected him and we miss him every day. Since I will never underestimate or dismiss the horrific acts of sexual assault, I am saddened that Ms Williams feels the need to make these allegations in public when the person she is. now on this earth to defend himself. Our family do not know Ms Williams and are not aware of any relationship or encounter they may have.
