Actress Kathryn Hahn teamed up with Marvel Cinematic Universe with WandaVision, Marvel ‘s first MCU series released via Disney +. There has been a lot of profanity about her character, who has bad intentions. But interestingly, this was not the first time Hahn was playing a nefarious Marvel comic book villain.
Kathryn Hahn stars in ‘WandaVision’
WandaVision was first announced at the San Diego Comic-Con in July 2019. The series stars Wanda Maximoff (also known as Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen) and Paul Bettany’s Vision. When further renamed D23 in August 2019, Kathryn Hahn was renamed Agnes, “a novice neighbor who wakes chaos and trouble. ”
In the first two programs of WandaVision, premiered on January 15, 2021, on Disney +, Hahn’s Agnes is a fixture. She welcomes Wanda to the neighborhood, helps her cook at the last minute and encourages her to take part in the talent show. In fact, she has little interest in making Wanda feel at home in Westview.
Her broad comedy background
Unlike co-stars Kat Dennings, Randall Park, and Teyonah Parris, Hahn features a new character in the MCU. However, there is a high chance that fans will recognize her from other projects, as she has had a broad career. And, appropriately for a sitcom setting of WandaVision, much of it has been in comedy.
Early in his career, Hahn appeared in supporting roles in romantic comedies such as Anchorman, The holidays, and Step brothers. Among the latest films is the Bad Moms franchise. She has also done a lot of TV work, including recycling roles on it Parks and Ath and Obviousand this last one won her an Emmy name.
Is Agnes Agatha Harkness?
When it comes to the MCU, almost every post can be traced back to the origin of a comic book. WandaVision loosely based on two comics: House of M. and Vision and the Scarlet Witch. In the second, Wanda heavily gets pregnant, as she did WandaVision episode 2. In the comics, these events are linked to the villainous witch Agatha Harkness.
WandaVision fans were quick to notice that the name Agnes comes easily from Agatha Harkness. And as Agnes ‘mission seems to be to keep Wanda connected to this wonderful world, many believe she is responsible for Wanda’ s deception. Brandon Davis at Comicbook.com asked Hahn about this, but naturally, he didn’t get a response.
Hahn was in ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’
Ged WandaVision Hahn’s first time in the MCU, this isn’t her first superhero role. Or even her first Marvel movie. She painted Olivia Octavius, also known as Dr. Octopus (nicknamed Doc Ock) in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, An 2018 Oscar-winning Sony animated film that launched the upcoming franchise.
“Like all cities, not everything is as it seems,” Hahn said in a range of unique features. Director Peter Ramsey said there were “concerns” about making Doc Ock “a strong enough presence. ”“ When Kathryn Hahn got hold of the son, man, that’s all [fear] he’s gone, ”he said of her ability to play a believable villain.
