Ree Drummond appeared on ‘Today’ this week

The television personality appeared on it Today this week from her Oklahoma runway to discuss the launch of her new book, Frontier Follies: Adventures in Marriage and Motherhood in the middle of nowhere.

The book, which has just been published this week, shows in the dust jacket, the “real events going on in Drummond’s house and around the ranch.”

A major publication in the book, which Drummond spoke to the hosts of the morning show Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, is a new member of the Drummond family.

“Well, Jamar is my foster son,” Drummond told Kotb. “He has been living with us for over a year and a half. As I write in the book, my husband and I never wanted to be foster parents but Jamar’s situation was self-evident and he’s just a full member of our family. ”

Until now, Drummond has not been able to speak publicly about her foster son because of “rules and regulations with the state body,” as well as for his own privacy.

“We love him,” said mother now five.

Her daughter’s recent affair

There is no doubt that it is a hum-drum life on the Drummond field. In addition to a new son, the domestic queen recently announced that her daughter Alex was engaged this summer with her boyfriend Mauricio Scott.

The two met at Texas A&M University, during their new year at university.

Alex has already found her dream wedding dress, which Ree wrote about on her online blog. She said one of her favorite things to help her daughter choose her gown was to bring in Mauricio’s mother to help as well.

“What made the shopping experience so special was that Martha, Maurico’s mother, joined us on the shopping trip,” Ree wrote. “She only has two boys, so Alex knew she would enjoy the wedding dress process. Martha is a handsome, kind man, and it has been so wonderful to meet her. We have fun together! ”

Drummond jokingly said that she thought this was the reason her daughter’s boyfriend suggested it

The conversation with TodayThe guests got around to her future son-in-law while Drummond cooked sandwiches.

“I have to say, in the book, I say it’s the best sandwich at quarantine,” she said of the beef she was prepping. “During quarantine, all those bodies were in my house for a while, when it started to open. ”

She explained between “my two eldest daughters, one of my girlfriends, Jamar, my two sons, my husband,” that she had to find a way to provide proper food for everyone. And the best way, she found, with the so-called “best sandwich I’ve ever made,” sandwich was the Drip Beef Sandwiches with Caramelized Onions and Provolone.

Drummond then explained how the sandwich, I guess, led the way to marriage for her daughter.

“In the last few months, another development in our family has been that my daughter Alex’s boyfriend recommended her to her. And I think it’s because of this sandwich, ”said the red chef as Guthrie and Kotb laughed.

“I mean, she ‘s an amazing person, but… Mauricio, my future son in particular, said,’ This is the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. ‘”

Who knew love and marriage could start with beef cheese and provolone?
