Carrie Fisher was born into the Hollywood royalty as the daughter of celebrities Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. So it wasn’t terrible when she decided to act full-time. However, she often talked about the dangers she faced growing up in the public eye and said she did not want the same life for her daughter, Billie Lourd.
Eventually, however, Lourd caught the acting beast that stopped her mother and grandmother. In an interview, Lourd said Fisher was the first to see her potential.
Billie Lourd spent years not watching Star Wars
Lourd is Fisher’s only child. In 1992, Fisher was born to her daughter along with her longtime companion, Bryan Lourd. By the time Lourd was born, Fisher had made a name for himself and her father. She became a star after playing Princess Leia in the Star Wars trilogy in the 1970s and 1980s.
Lourd said working with Fisher on it Star Wars she changed her life. Not only did her mother inspire her to action, but she finally got to see Princess Leia at work. After Star Wars‘: The force is waking up, Lourd reiterated his role as Lieutenant Connix in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The film was the last one Fisher worked before she died of a heart attack in December 2016. Lourd recalled how “proud” she was to work with her mother at the time.
“I was thinking of making one Star Wars film with her was a once-in-a-lifetime thing; then they asked me to come and do the next film, and I had to do my life once and for all, ”she said.
“On our second film together, I really tried to take a step back and understand what I was doing,” Lourd continued. “I couldn’t tell her because she would have thought I was lame, but watching her like Leia this time made me feel like the proud mother. ”
