Both Hamilton and Burnett were married before they got together – and they seemed like a good match. Your dictionary notes Burnett met Hamilton after he worked Garry Moore Show, and married in 1963. The two went on to have three children together, of which Hamilton was also an active representative Carol Burnett Exhibition.

Unfortunately, Burnett’s workload seems to have put a lot of pressure on her marriage, and this may have been one of the factors that contributed to her divorce. Not only did she continue with her show, but she took on film roles that ate up her time and energy.

In 1982, Burnett and Hamilton agreed to go through a trial split, UPI reports. Eventually they could not work it out and separated a few years later. This follows Burnett’s first divorce in 1962 and Hamilton’s divorce in 1963, according to a report that took place the same day he married Burnett.

Burnett said her divorce was avoided because of her divorce

While Burnett’s workload didn’t help her friendship, that didn’t seem to be the only issue. Burnett and Hamilton were also having a hard time with their daughter’s slavery. And Burnett also admitted that her conflict-avoiding personality did her no favors.

In 1990, Burnett reported People that she had a “People Pleaser Disease” which would make her “nice and quiet, walking on eggs and following all the rules. By the time I grew up. I was terrified of making any comments that would sound aggressive. ‘Sin That kept me out of any trouble, as I saw it. of hurting someone’s feelings. ”

Unfortunately, Burnett apparently refused to express her anger until the end of her second marriage. But after some treatment, she realized there was no way to survive. “Nobody’s going to fall dead if I tell them I don’t like something,” she said. “There is a way to explain how you are feeling in an honest, straightforward way, rather than filling in your feelings. I’m finally learning to say ‘I don’t want to’ or ‘I’m not happy with this.’ “

While Miller is more than 20 years younger than Burnett, they are still going strong. And this proves to be Burnett ‘s longest marriage yet. “It’s funny and it’s not easy to be scared,” she said People. “As we get older, the gap between our ages is narrowing. If you were 40 and married 20-year-old, I don’t think you could communicate like that [we do]. ”

Burnett seems willing to joke about their age difference as well. “Look at our friend Clint Eastwood [Dina Eastwood was 36 years his junior] – I say, if it’s good enough for the companions, it’s good enough for the girls, “notes closer than a week she said.
