Sia Opens up About Mental Health and Treatments That Work for Her

Co-wrote and directed Six Films, Music. In a recent interview, Sia talks about the film, which opens January 14 in Australia and February 12 in the US and Canada. However, first she shares her own experience with mental health issues.

I have been working to secure it by using a type of treatment called the Idealized Parent Figure Protocol, and meditation protocols in joint repair for joint injuries. Basically a bond injury [is] injuries that occur within the first three years of your life. It usually means that anyone who is an addict has a connection injury. They were usually caused within the first three years of your life. That is now scientifically proven. I have worked with a variety of different scientists and researchers to try and, as a result, earn a secure connection.

There are no quick fixes, though. Like everyone else, Six is ​​a job.

“I thought it was [earned secure attachment] and then I hit a little roadblock recently and realized I had to humbly accept that I’m not there yet, ”she said. “I’m still working on it.”
