Shia LaBeouf Once Compared Working With Steven Spielberg To ‘Grabbing Onto a Rocket Ship’ To Outer Space

However, after appearing in several of Spielberg ‘s big budget studio films, he took a step back and since then has only worked on independent films. Speaking of his experience working with Spielberg, he compared it to “grabbing a rocket ship. ”

LaBeouf hasn’t worked on studio film in a while, but he was in several budget studio films earlier in his life. After appearing in the blockbuster hit made by Spielberg Modifiers, he went on to star in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal skull, directed by Steven Spielberg.

Both films were a huge success, with both earning over $ 700 million at the box office, according to Mojo Box Office. Speilberg is known for creating great films with a wide range of appearances and has helped countless actors to become international superstitions.

For many actors, working with Spielberg is a lifelong dream. LaBeouf had made that dream come true when working with the image director and was well aware of the scale of the achievement. He talked about the experience in an interview with 2019 by MTV News, comparing it to riding a rocket launcher into outer space.

“You get it in a movie by Spielberg, it’s like grabbing a rocket ship,” LaBeouf said. “Then you’re in outer space and you’re in orbit.”

LaBeouf followed the symbolism by comparing his return to Earth to the career path of actors after working with Spielberg. Some are very successful, while others are still hard times relevant.

“Yeah, so you crash land,” LaBeouf said. “For some. Or some have a parachute. And then you will find your base again. ”

LaBeouf did not shy away from acknowledging how lucky he is to still get a career in Hollywood. He has published a number of major events that threatened his acting career.

“And if you’re lucky you still make films at that level,” LaBeouf said. “And I’m one of the lucky ones. And I know that, I’m very aware of how lucky I am. I am in my ninth life. ”

One of LaBeouf ‘s main complaints was about working on movies like Modifiers and Indiana Jones a lack of depth is seen in his roles.

However, while LaBeouf has made it clear in the past that he is not fond of a Hollywood studio machine that makes such films, it did not preclude him from working on another studio film.

“Listen, I’m not against anything,” said LaBeouf. “Maybe I’m going to.”

LaBeouf then explained why he graduated back from working on studio films in the first place, citing a lack of motivation.

“I was making studio films for a while, I lost my senses and my connection to the material,” LaBeouf said. “Studio films in general, when you have to make a film for a large general audience, you have to be so special. And the smaller you are, the less meat you have to chew. The less meat you have to chew, the more interesting it is for the actor. ”

Since returning from the studio tour, LaBeouf feels like he has accomplished some of the best work in his career.

“So, I’m not going to take anything, but yes,” LaBeouf said. “I’ve just found my way to one, survival. And two, to be able to succeed. I feel like my best stuff has come in the last five years and none of that was studio work. ”
