‘Rock of Love With Bret Michaels’: How Lacey Sculls Saved the Show

Fans of Rock of Love By Bret Michaels there may be a strong distaste for Lacey Sculls (née Conner). That’s because she played the villain during season 1. In fact, Sculls was proving to be the ugliest contender on the reality show.

Sculls recently spoke with Showbiz Cheat Sheet over Zoom about her decision to become a speaker and, ultimately, how he saved The Rock of Love.

Lacey Sculls shake things up on ‘Rock of Love With Bret Michaels’

After VH1 experience with shows like The Surreal Life and Taste of love, the network decided to give Poison ‘s opponent, Bret Michaels, his own perspective on finding love in a real television situation.

Michaels was put in a luxury mansion by 20-some women. Just like Am Bachelor, the women would compete for winning group dates and a one-on-one tour with the rockstar.

Sculls was one of those women – she was one of Michaels’ last three. She did as long as she did in the competition because of conscious choice. Sculls was going to be The Rock of Love‘n villain.

Lacey Scull was inspired by another VH1 villain – Tiffany ‘New York’ Pollard

Tiffany Pollard was one of the women returning Flavor Flav on season 1 of Taste of love. It was nicknamed “New York” by Flavor Flavor itself, and later named the “Head B * tch in Charge.”

Pollard’s ability to handle the other competitors and the strong impression she made helped to the end of the show.

“When I looked Taste of love, I had the same reaction about ‘New York’ that a lot of people had when they looked at me, “Sculls told Showbiz. “I was like, ‘Why is she still there? She is horrible. Send her home. ”

Flavor Flavor Nicole chose “Hoopz” Alexander as his last daughter, but Pollard was hugely popular with fans, they wanted more. She returned for Taste of love Season 2 and she went on to star in her own series, I Love New York.

After seeing a “New York” plan of offensive work, Sculls decided that she would become a spokesman for her time. The Rock of Love.

‘Rock of Love With Bret Michaels’ was almost ‘mundane’

As Sculls said, Rock of Love By Bret Michaels the presentation was almost entirely different. In our conversation, Sculls remembered the first night in the The Rock of Love premises.

“Within a few hours of all our daughters being in the house, I remember Mia [Tidwell] and a couple of other girls were talking about doing it [their] nails or talking about something that looked very wet, ”explained Sculls.

As photographers moved into this “obscene” conversation about manicures, Sculls recalled thinking: “Oh, my God, this show is going to be af * cking flop.” At that point, Sculls decided to adopt the deadly “New York” scene.

Lacey Sculls played a villain to entertain ‘Rock of Love With Bret Michaels’

When Sculls agreed to do the show, she wanted to create a memorable television.

“It was my main goal [to make] this TV is showing as good as it can be, ”explained Sculls. So her mind was: “I want to contribute in any way I can to ensure that this TV show is going to be a success and that people are going to enjoy it.”

During season 1, Sculls ’attack plan was to pick the other women one by one. Each program, she targeted a different woman, found their weakness and took them for granted. While not terribly interesting, the Sculls movement eventually created some of the most exciting television.

Today, Sculls is still celebrating its villainy with many other VH1 reality stars on the Conversation about love podcast. Ironically, many fans have changed their mind about the The Rock of Love villain.
