Elvis Presley and Priscilla Beaulieu met in Germany in 1959, while stationed overseas while serving in the U.S. Army. She was only 14 years old, while 24.
Their romance went a long way over the years that followed through phone calls, letters, photos and tours. Priscilla – who married Elvis in 1967 and became Priscilla Presley – eventually moved to Graceland during her high school year.
In her 1985 memorial, Elvis and Me, Priscilla takes a look back at some of the old things that are said to have happened to her and Elvis while she was living at Graceland. She even remembered going in and out of the Memphis Elvis estate to develop plays for him.
Elvis wanted to wait until they were married to have sex with Priscilla
After Priscilla moved to Memphis, she desperately wanted to share her love with Elvis. But, as she wrote in Elvis and Me, he wanted to stay away and stick to foreplay until they made a longer commitment.
One night, Elvis finally returned to Graceland from filming a movie. As their festivals grew, Priscilla wrote, she “felt certain that the night would end with Elvis finally falling in love with him. [her]. ”
“I wanted it,” she recalled. “I became more powerful, reaching out to him, completely open and honest in my needs.”
But Elvis, as usual, wanted to wait. He reminded Priscilla that sex was “sacred” to him. He asked her to let him decide when they would have sex. According to her, Priscilla and Elvis held off until the end of their wedding night and honeymoon in 1967.
She went out to the drug store to hide their actions from others
To realize their beautiful Polaroid scenes, Priscilla revealed in her memoir that she went to the local drug store near Graceland “almost every night” to buy a film.
While picking up 12 packs of film at the same time, Priscilla said she would often put herself down in dark glasses. She also apologized for her reasons for buying so often so that she wouldn’t waste money and get tongues courting about her benefits.
Priscilla was also worried that Graceland’s Elvis staff would find out what she was doing. She was afraid that her security team and other staff would start rumors behind her when they saw her always going in and out “at the wee hours of the night. At the same time, Elvis just laughed at it, joking that Memphis needed a few more spells to keep things exciting.
As for her own feelings about this role-play, Priscilla recalled, she just wanted to please Elvis in every way – including in the bedroom. She felt that sexual fantasies brought them closer together, especially as “normal smears” were not enough to satisfy the King of Rock and Roll. Priscilla said she never felt that Elvis’ “views or playfulness” were twisted or in any way harmful. ”
