Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley were married in Las Vegas in 1967. Their union lasted for six years until they parted amicably in 1973. Although the two moved on, Priscilla remained in Elvis’ life. because of their daughter, Lisa Marie Presley. In 2015, Priscilla admitted she was worried about the King of Rock and Roll until his death.
Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley had a turbulent marriage
Elvis and Priscilla’s love affair began when the singer “Burning Love” was in Germany. At the time of their meeting, Priscilla was 14-years-old, and Elvis 24-years-old. Despite the 10-year age difference, Elvis publicly showed his newfound love on his return to Memphis. Priscilla moved to Elvis’ famous estate, Graceland, when she first arrived in her boyfriend’s hometown. In 1967, when Priscilla turned 22-years-old, the pair married in Las Vegas. One year later, the couple welcomed their only child, Lisa Marie.
As Priscilla made peace by leaving Elvis, she said she continued to worry about his well-being. Elvis misuse of substances such as prescription pills was highly related to Priscilla. According to Priscilla, Elvis also had a problem with his career declining.
Though she wanted to step in, Priscilla kept her thoughts about Elvis’ behavior to herself. However, Elvis spent some time in Priscilla before dying of a heart attack in 1977. Priscilla said they had the last conversation about him that eventually became a musical tour.
“We talked a few days before it passed, which was very hard, [I was] asked if he was okay and excited about going for a walk, and he was, “Priscilla recalled.” He liked work, but he was dealing with a lot of issues, decisions he had to do it… so it wasn’t easy. ”
So far, Priscilla has never remarried after Elvis. However, she had a long-standing relationship with Italian screenwriter Marco Garibaldi. After moving in together in 1984, the pair welcomed a son, Navarone, before splitting in 2006.
